Marin Ventures created four programs to meet individual client needs:
Accessing Community
Experiences (ACE), the on-site Adult Learning Center (ALC), the Senior's
Program, and Specialized Day Program.
Individual Program Plans are developed for each client to determine which
program offers the greatest opportunity for personal growth.
Program selection results from a collaborative process that
considers the client's personal preferences and the interdisciplinary
team's assessment. Clients may change programs as their needs change.
Accessing Community Experiences (ACE)
ACE performs all activities in natural (i.e. community) environments.
Participants work, recreate, and perform activities appropriate
to independent living as do persons without disabilities. Currently
there are over 30 participants in the ACE program. For more information,
see the ACE program page.
Adult Learning Center (ALC)
The Adult Learning Center is Marin Ventures' core on-site program.
The program features:
* Creative Expression
* Social skills
* Recreation and leisure skills
* Communication skills
* Independent living skills
* Community integration
* Occupational therapy
* Sensory integration training
More information is available on the Adult Learning Center page.
Senior's Program
The
Senior's program was created to accomadate the
increasing age of the developmentally disabled population. Professional
resources such as a registered nurse and registered dietician are used
in addition to our trained staff to closely monitor these' clients. More information is available on the Seniors page.
Specialized Day Program
This
is Marin Ventures' latest way to meet the needs of individuals with
disabilities. This program was created for individiuals who have
incidental medical needs and other special challenges. The
program provides clients the opportunity to participate actively in existing community-based day
programs, while also receiving advanced attention of trained staff and
licensed professionals. More information is available on the Specialized Day Program page. |
